Chad Dwyer, who is in his seventh year at America East, was promoted to Associate Commissioner in July, 2015.
Dwyer oversees the planning and event operations for 16 America East Championships, coordinates intra-conference scheduling, manages the conference’s awards program and administers the policies and procedures for the conference. Dwyer is the staff liaison to the coaches on various America East Sport Committees and serves as liaison to the America East Committee on Championships and Competition. He is also a member of the Commissioner’s management team.
Additionally, Dwyer manages the development; purchasing and on-site implementation of the conference’s branding initiatives.
During his tenure at the America East Conference, Dwyer has steadily increased his responsibilities as he advanced through several roles. He joined the staff in September, 2008 as Sport/Championships Administrator, in July, 2010, was promoted to Director of Championships before being elevated to Assistant Commissioner in July, 2012.
From 2007-2008, Dwyer was the Asa S. Bushnell Championships Assistant at the ECAC, where he assisted in the planning and execution of over 90 championships across all three division of college athletics.
Dwyer earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stonehill College in 2001 and his MS in athletic administration from Springfield College in 2007
Dwyer and his wife, Meghan, reside in Medford, Mass. with their two young children.
