Albany Voted Preseason Favorite in #AEWSOC Coaches' Poll

BOSTON - For the first time in program history, the University at Albany Great Danes have been selected as the favorites in the America East Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference office announced Wednesday. The voting was conducted by the conference’s nine head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own teams.

Albany received six first-place votes to total 61 points. The Great Danes won their first-ever America East title last season, beating Hartford, 2-1, in the title game. The Hawks were picked second with 58 points and three first-place votes. Here is the full poll:
