Pacific's Burns Nets Week 4 #AEFH Player of Week Honor; 3 Teams Remain Ranked

BOSTON - Four weeks into the 2016 field hockey season, America East continues to be one of just three conferences (ACC, Big Ten) with at least three teams ranked in the NFHCA national poll. Stanford moved up one spot to #18, while Maine slid up one spot to #19 and Albany came in at #20. Here are the week four award winners:

Player of the Week
Savannah Burns, Pacific - So., Midfielder, Somerset West, South Africa

  • Totaled nine points in a pair of Pacific wins last week.
  • Scored twice and had an assist in an 8-2 win over Vermont Tuesday.
  • Found the back of the cage twice again in a 6-1 win over Drexel Sunday.

Defensive Player of the Week
Maxi Primus, Albany - Sr., Goalkeeper, Munich, Germany

  • Allowed just one goal while making four saves in Albany's 2-1 win over Yale. 
  • This is her second Defensive Player of the Week award of the season and eighth of her career.

Rookie of the Week
Anouk Lalande, UMass Lowell - Fr.., Forward, Brussels, Belgium

  • Tallied 11 points in two UMass Lowell wins last week.
  • Collected  her first career assists with two in a 5-2 win over Siena Friday.
  • Logged a career-high four goals and one assist for nine points in a 9-2 win over Saint Louis Sunday.
