Keith, Secko Earn Men's Soccer Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Binghamton sophomore forward Cameron Keith, who scored three goals in the Bearcats win over Cornell, and Stony Brook freshman forward Mark Secko, who had a goal and an assist in a pair of wins by the Seawolves, were named Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, by America East on Monday. Keith (Aberdeenshire, Scotland/Aberdeenshire University) recorded the first hat trick by a Binghamton player at the Division I level when he scored three times in the Bearcats’ 3-0 win over Cornell Saturday. The forward gave Binghamton a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute and added an insurance goal in the 84th minute. A little more than two minutes later, he completed the hat trick. Keith’s heroics were witnessed by a record crowd of 1,862 as the men’s soccer program played its first game in the new $4.2 million Bearcat Sports Complex.

Secko (Shoreham, N.Y./St. Anthony’s) had a goal and an assist as the Seawolves posted two wins last week. He scored his first collegiate goal in the 4-1 in over Marist on Tuesday and assisted on the game-winner in a 2-1 win over William and Mary on Saturday.
