He assisted in the publicity of the Great Danes’ 19 intercollegiate sports and served as the primary contact for men’s and women’s soccer and baseball. Tainsh graduated from Ithaca College in 2005 as a Sports Information and Communications major and a Journalism minor. While a student, he served as a student assistant in the Bombers' sports information office and was a primary sports information contact for wrestling, men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field. Tainsh also served stints as a volunteer in the Providence College Athletic Media Relations Department and WICB Ithaca Student Station Sports Department, production intern at Sports Radio The Score in Providence and ESPN Radio 1260 in Syracuse, and promotions intern at Syracuse ISP Sports Properties.
