CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -  Stony Brook junior Larissa Nysch earned America East women's soccer Player of the Week, while Vermont freshman Ally Ramos was named Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 14, the conference office announced Monday.

Nysch (Dresher, Pa.) was the only multi-goal scorer in the America East last week, scoring both of her goals in a, 5-1, win over Maine on Thursday night. Nysch scored her first goal at 15:19 to give Stony Brook a 1-0 lead, and then scored just 48 seconds later (the eventual game-winning goal) to make it 2-0. Nysch leads the Seawolves with six goals and 15 points this season.

Ramos (Setauket, N.Y.) led UVM to a 1-0-1 week in league play, ranking second in the conference with 16 saves, while also holding a .941 save percentage (third in the conference) and a 0.45 goals against average (third in the conference). She made seven saves in a 0-0 double-overtime draw with UMBC and picked up her first career shutout on Thursday. The freshman followed that with a career-high nine stops in a 2-1 victory over Albany.

Notes:
Boston University claimed at-least a share of its sixth-straight America East title with wins over Hartford and Binghamton last week... The Terriers have won 31-straight games against America East opponents...  New Hampshire clinched a spot in the America East Championship for the 12th-consecutive season... Maine earned a playoff spot for the 10th-straight season.
