A crucial weekend in America East men's soccer begins Friday night when UMBC visits Stony Brook. As many as four teams could clinch America East Championship berths this weekend.

Friday, October 19

UMBC at Stony Brook, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video
Stony Brook, N.Y.

•    UMBC (7-4-4, 1-2-1 AE, 4 pts.) visits Stony Brook (9-3-1, 3-1-0, 9 pts.) in a key America East battle Friday.
•    Both teams are playing well as UMBC has won back-to-back games and Stony Brook is 7-1-1 in its last nine.

•    Stony Brook's Leonardo Fernandes is tied for the league lead and 16th nationally with 21 points.
•    UMBC's Pete Caringi III earned America East Player of the Week honors after tallying a career-high eight points, on three goals and  two assists. The eight points are the most for an America East player since Stony Brook's Chris Megaloudis accomplished the feat on Sept. 11, 2005.
•    A rematch of the 2009 America East title game, the series is deadlocked at 6-6-0 but Stony Brook is 4-1-0 against UMBC at LaValle Stadium.

•     Two teams heading in different directions face off Saturday when Albany (5-9, 2-2-0 AE, 6 pts.)
travels to Boston U. (4-7-4, 1-2-2 AE, 5 pts.).
•     The Great Danes have won three straight while the Terriers have lost back-to-back games.
•     Michael Bustamante leads Boston U. with 10 points while a trio of players (Anthony Rozzano, Pomare Te Anu and Brandon Wilson) pace the Great Danes with seven points.

New Hampshire at Vermont, 2 p.m. -- Live Video
Burlington, Vt.

•    Vermont (6-4-4, 3-0-1 AE, 10 pts.) can secure a bid to the America East Championship third straight year with a win or a tie against New Hampshire
(5-5-3, 1-1-1 AE, 4 pts.) Saturday.
•    The Catamounts have lost just once (5-1-4) over their last 10 games.
•    Conor Leland leads America East in save percentage (.843), which also ranks in the top 20 nationally.
•    Vermont leads the all-time series, 34-14-5, and is 10-1-4 against UNH over the last 15 get togethers.


Hartford at Binghamton, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video
Vestal, N.Y.

•    Hartford (6-7-1, 0-3-1 AE, 1 pt.) visits Binghamton (6-7, 2-2-0 AE, 6 pts.) in a key America East battle Saturday.
•    The Hawks are in search of their first America East win while Binghamton has dropped two straight after starting 2-0.

•   Binghamton's Jake Keegan is tied for the league lead and also tied for 16th nationally with 21 points.
