CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Boston University's Chantell Alford earned her second consecutive America East Player of the Week honor, while Stony Brook's Brittany Snow was named Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 18, the conference office announced Monday. Alford (West Haven, Conn.) earned her second-straight America East Player of the Week honor after leading the conference in scoring, averaging 24.0 points per game last week to go with 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Alford scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed eight boards as the Terriers were nipped by No. 14 West Virginia, 60-57. The 30 points are the most for any America East player since New Hampshire's Morgan Frame netted 35 vs. Wagner on Dec. 21, 2011. She also tied a career-high with six 3-pointers in the game. Later in the week, the senior led Boston U. to a, 70-61, win over Richmond with 18 points, four rebounds and four assists. She has led the Terriers in scoring in all three games this season, and leads the conference averaging 21.7 points per game. Snow (Shamong, N.J.) earned her first America East Rookie of the Week honor after leading all America East freshmen in scoring with 12 points in Stony Brook's 66-63 overtime loss at Morgan State. Snow also pulled down four rebounds and had two assists and a steal in the game. She made her first start of her collegiate career, hitting four field goals and going four-of-five from the free throw line. America East Notes (In 140 characters
