Three Men's Hoops Teams Host Games Wednesday, Hartford Plays on Pac-12 Network
Four America East men's hoops teams take the floor on Wednesday, including three at home and one on national television.
Albany, Vermont and New Hampshire will all play in the friendly confines of home, while Hartford travels west for a game that will air on the Pac-12 Network.
The Great Danes (6-2) will to extend their win streak to four when they host St. Francis (N.Y.) at 7 p.m. Albany's 6-2 start is its best eight-game record in the program’s Division I history.
The Catamounts (4-2) return home to Patrick Gym after three straight on the road and will face Towson at 7 p.m. Vermont, which had its three-game win streak snapped at Rhode Island Saturday, has had five different leading scorers in its six games.
The Wildcats (3-4) go for their second straight win when they entertain Central Conn. State at 7:30 p.m. UNH leads America East and ranks ninth nationally in three-point field goal percentage defense holding teams to 23.7 percent shooting and 13th in overall field goal percentage defense limiting foes to 35.4 percent.
The Hawks (4-3) visit Arizona State and will face the Sun Devils for the first time in program history at 8:30 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network. Hartford, which is coming off a win over Holy Cross Saturday, has won three straight and four out of five. The Hawks are over .500 for the first time since the 2007-08 season off to their best start since the 2005-06 campaign.
On Tuesday, UMBC (2-5) fell at George Mason, 74-63. The Patriots shot 57 percent after halftime en route to the win. Brett Roseboro paced three Retrievers in twin figures with 14 points.
