Stony Brook Goes for Fourth Straight Win at Sacred Heart Tuesday
As exam week hits full gear, the lone America East men's basketball game until Friday takes place Tuesday night as Stony Brook visits Sacred Heart to complete an in-season home-and-home series. Game time is 7 p.m.
Stony Brook (7-2), winner of three straight, will look to avenge one of its two defeats when it faces the Pioneers tonight. Sacred Heart battled back from 14 points down in the second half to deal the Seawolves a 64-62 loss on Nov. 18. Marcus Rouse, one of six Seawolves averaging over 6.0 points per game, led SBU with 16 points. Stony Brook beat St. Francis Brooklyn last time out behind 19 points and eight rebounds from Dave Coley and 13 points and nine boards from Jameel Warney, who were named America East Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as a result.
Off to its best nine-game start in its Division I history, Stony Brook leads the league in scoring (70.2 ppg), scoring defense (59.8 papg) and rebound margin (+8.2).
