CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Records were falling all around the conference this week, as four Boston University indoor track and field athletes have earned America East weekly awards. R.J. Page and Reuben Horace take home male Track Performer of the Week and Field Performer of the Week respectively. For the second week in a row on the women’s side, Katie Matthews and Allison Barwise have been tabbed Performers of the Week in track and field, respectively.

Competing at the Terrier Invitational, Page (Swedesboro, N.J.) broke his own school record in a very talented 200-meter dash field. The senior took fourth-place, crossing the finish line in 21.25 seconds. Page, who also owns the third-best America East time in the 60-meter dash, set the new 200-meter standard by two-tenths of a second.

Horace (Warwick, R.I.) continued his stellar freshman campaign over the weekend with a victory in the weight throw. With a toss of 18.77 meters, Horace now has the best throw in the America East by over a foot. Horace was one of two Terriers to post a victory on the day.

For the second week in a row, Matthews (Rocky Hill, Conn.) posted a top time in the country. Last week it was the 3,000-meter run and this week it was the 5,000-meter run. The graduate student cruised to a second-place finish in 15:46.13 and bested her own school record by six seconds in the process. Matthews now has the second best time in the NCAA for this event. It is also the top America East time by more than a minute and a half.

Barwise (Orange, Conn.) claimed a victory for the second week in a row, this time in the high jump. At the Terrier Invitational, the senior tied for first by clearing a height of 1.80 meters. This jump is just .01 meters short of her best jump on the season, which ranks 13th in the NCAA. Barwise’s top jump  of 1.81 meters is tops in the America East by 1.01 meters.
