Four Women's Hoops Games Fill the Schedule Wednesday
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Four women's basketball games fill the schedule on Wednesday night, as all four match-ups tip at 7 p.m.
First-place Albany (18-3, 9-0) hosts UMBC (7-15, 3-6) in a rematch of the first conference game of the season for both teams. The Great Danes have been rolling, holding a perfect 9-0 record in conference play with an average margin of victory of 27.6 points per game. Ebone Henry leads the conference in scoring in conference play at better than 17 points per game, while the Great Danes defense ranks first in the country, allowing only 42.4 points per game.
Stony Brook (12-10, 4-5) Boston U. (18-4, 8-1) continues to hang just one-game behind Albany for first-place in the conference and hosts Stony Brook (12-10, 4-5) at The Roof. The Terriers have the league-leader in scoring (Chantell Alford), rebounding (Rashidat Agboola) and assists (Mo Moran). The Seawolves have had a tremendous turnaround, tripling their overall win total from 2011-12.
Vermont (7-14, 4-4) visits New Hamsphire (8-13, 3-6) in a rematch of the early-season classic. Lauren Buschmann stole a pass with just seconds remaining that lifted the Catamounts to a 63-60 overtime victory.
Binghamton (4-18, 3-6) also visits Hartford (14-8, 5-4). The Bearcats beat the Hawks at the Events Center for the first time since 2005 in the first meeting between the two teams.
