Fan Guide to the 2013 America East Menís and Womenís Basketball Championships

The America East Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship presented by SEFCU takes place March 8-10 and the conference is offering fans many different ways to engage with the conference this weekend, both for fans attending the event and those at home.

Among the more popular attractions in Hartford, Albany also will be hosting a FanFest in the PE Gym that is located just steps away from SEFCU Arena. FanFest will feature live bands, spirit groups from many of the America East schools and plenty of food and beverages. An inflatable bouncy house for fans of all ages will be one of the main attractions, along with a beer garden for fans who are 21 years of age and older.

Flat screen televisions will be scattered around FanFest with a live stream of all the games, as well as press conferences and highlight reels. There will be plenty of vendors with prizes and much more.

Fans can connect with the America East through its many social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Fans can keep up to date by following America East on twitter (@AmericaEast) for in-game updates. Tweeters are also encouraged to use the hashtag #Chance2Dance to join the discussion. All of the games at the 2013 America East Men’s and Women’s Basketball  will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and via mobile devices on the WatchESPN app. Eric Frede and Leah Secondo will have the call for the women’s games while Frede will team up with Frank Sullivan for the men’s broadcasts. Also, Ashley Underwood will be on the sideline for the women’s contests and Rich Becker takes the sideline mic for the men’s games.
