Two America East Teams Nationally Ranked

A pair America East teams are being recognized as among the best in their respective sport as UMBC men's soccer and UAlbany field hockey are nationally ranked this week after starting their seasons with perfect records.

The Retrievers, who are off to a 4-0 start this season, are ranked in three different polls. The reigning America East champions entered the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men's National Poll at #23 this week and are also ranked 24th the College Soccer News' Top 30 and 25th in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25. UMBC, which is tied for fifth scoring 3.0 goals per game, is riding a 13-game unbeaten streak (10-0-3) dating back to last season.

The Great Danes are off to a 3-0 start, their best since 2010, and entered the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll at #13 this week after wins over. Albany, the reigning America East champion, has outscored opponents, 15-1, this season and leads the nation in scoring margin (4.67) and team GAA (0.33).
