DURHAM, N.H. – Student-athletes from seven different University of New Hampshire sports volunteered their time in the annual 700 Family Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Teams that participated in the event included men’s and women’s basketball, gymnastics, men’s and women’s ice hockey, men's and women's track & field and women’s lacrosse.

For more than three decades, the yard sale has attracted UNH students and families from around the Seacoast region. Last year, the yard sale raised more than $37,000, helping local churches replenish food banks and other needs.

The student-athletes were present at St. Thomas More Church and the Community Church in Durham, helping the set-up, organization, sales and clean up of the event. Additionally, student-athletes helped deliver large items such as furniture and pianos to people’s homes personally.
