CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Several America East cross country teams raced against nationally ranked opponents this past weekend in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown Boston College Invitational. This week’s winners crossed the finish line ahead of many runners from those top programs:

Men’s Performer of the Week
John Prizzi, Jr., New Hampshire
Wyckoff, N.J.

  • Crossed the line with an 8k time of 25:00 at the Boston College Invitational to place 24th in a field of 140 runners.
  • New Hampshire collected 211 points for a seventh-place finish against nationally ranked teams Wisconsin (No. 8), Syracuse (No. 9), Oregon (No. 12) and Providence (No. 25).
  • The Wildcats earned a spot in the most recent Northeast Regional rankings and currently sit at No. 12.

Around the League

  • Andrew Dwyer of Hartford finished 79th overall at the Boston College Invitational, crossing the line with an 8k time of 26:07.
  • UMass Lowell’s Brian Donovan placed 4th with an 8k time of 26:15 to help the River Hawks to a first place-finish at the 45th Codfish Bowl Invitational.
  • Maine is the only other America East member to join New Hampshire in the Northeast Regional Rankings at No. 14, while UMBC remains stilted at No. 13 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.


Women’s Performer of the Week
Annie Keown, Sr., Stony Brook
Auckland, New Zealand

  • Topped all America East runners in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, finishing 8th overall, just behind the stiff competition of nationally ranked Providence (No. 1), Oregon (No. 3), Cornell (No. 9) and Boston College (No. 24).
  • Finished with a 5k time of 17:28 to help the Seawolves to a sixth-place result out of 14 teams.
  • Stony Brook bursts into the top-10 Northeast Regional rankings at No. 8.

Around the League

  • New Hampshire was led to a seventh-place finish at the Boston College Invitational as Laura Rose Donegan finished with a 5k time of 17:34 to finish 13th.
  • Hartford’s Megan Barry finished 34th in the Boston College Invitational, with a 5k time of 18:04.
  • In addition to Stony Brook, New Hampshire also moves up in the regional rankings to No. 10, while Vermont and Albany sit at No. 14 and 15, respectably.
