CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A player from a the hottest team in the league and one from a team needing a win led their teams to victories last week and earned America East men's soccer weekly honors as a result:

Player of the Week
Ugochukwu Uche, Sr., New Hampshire
Ann Arbor, Mich.

  • Led UNH to two wins last week with goals in each game.
  • Tallied the lone score ('64) in the Wildcats' 1-0 win over Brown on Wednesday.
  • Scored in the 27th minute of his team's 2-1 win over Stony Brook Saturday, lifting UNH into first place in the league standings.

Rookie of the Week
Logan Roberts, R-Fr., Binghamton
Syracuse, N.Y.

  • Registered his first career points, racking up a goal and an assist in Binghamton's 3-0 win over UMass Lowell Saturday, which snapped a five-game winless streak.
  • Set up Marts Reid-Warren's goal in the 69th minute with a cross, giving his team a 2-0 lead.
  • sealed the Bearcats' win with his first career goal in the 88th minute.

  • New Hampshire (2-0-0 AE, 6 pts) is the lone unbeaten team in America East play after Saturday's win over Stony Brook (1-1-0 AE, 3 pts)
  • The Wildcats have won three straight and five of their last six.
  • Binghamton (1-1-0 AE, 3 pts) snapped a five-game winless streak with a 3-0 win over UMass Lowell (0-2-0 AE, 0 pts) Saturday.
  • Hartford (1-1-0 AE, 3 pts) earned its first league win of the year on Javoni Simms' overtime score Saturday. The Hawks beat Vermont (1-1-0 AE, 3 pts).
  • Albany (0-1-1 AE, 1 pt) and UMBC (1-0-1 AE, 4 pts) played to a scoreless tie Saturday, just the second time this season the Retrievers have been blanked.
  • The Great Danes are 1-0-1 against ranked teams this season.

  • UMBC's Pete Caringi III leads America East and ranks among the nation's best with 10 goals this season.
