  • Binghamton is poised to improve on its 3-27 mark from a year ago this season.
  • The Bearcats were slotted seventh in the America East Coaches' Poll, it's best position since 2009.
  • Tommy Dempsey is entering his second season as Binghamton's head coach.
  • The Bearcats have eight letterwinners back from last year's team, inluding sophomore Jordan Reed, an America East preseason all-conference choice.
  • Reed ranked second among league leaders in scoring (16.6 ppg) last year and earned third-team All-America East and all-rookie honors.
  • Reed also led the conference in rebounding (9.5 rpg), joining Vermont's Brian Voelkel as the only freshman to accomplish that feat.
  • Reed racked up a league-best 13 doubles-doubles last year, the most among guards in the nation.
  • Teaming with Reed in the backcourt is junior Robert Mansell, who's back after missing last season with a knee injury.
  • Mansell led Bingahmton in scoring during the 2011-12 campaign, scoring 14.0 points per game.
  • Binghamton opens its season at home against Loyola on Nov. 8.
