  • Albany is slotted third in the 2013-14 preseason poll after winning 24 games and its third America East title since 2006 last year.
  • The Great Danes became the lowest seeded team (4th) to ever win the league title.
  • Will Brown is America East's longest tenured head coach as he enters his 13th season in Albany
  • Brown is tied for second all-time in league history with three America East crowns.
  • He received a contract extension through the 2017-18 season on Aug. 29.
  • Junior Sam Rowley leads six returning letterwinners. He averaged 9.0 points and 6.5 boards per game last year and upped those averages to 11.1 and 7.6, respectively, in conference play.
  • Sophomore Peter Hooley earned All-Rookie accolades after averaging 8.0 points and 3.1 assists per contest. 
  • Albany opens its season at crosstown-rival Siena on Nov. 8.
