Wildcats Sweep Week #3 Swimming & Diving Awards

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – New Hampshire enjoyed a victorious weekend as they defeated Northeastern on the road. En route to this week’s honors, a 17-year standing pool record was shattered. Here’s a look at this week’s Swimming and Diving Awards:

Swimmer of the Week
Jenni Roberts, Sr., New Hampshire
Springvale, Maine

  • Collected a trio of first-place individual wins, fueling the Wildcats to a 167-128 victory over non-conference opponent Northeastern.
  • Snapped a pool record in the 200-yard IM, touching the wall at 2:04.53, trumping a 17-year mark set by then Oyster River High School and Stanford standout Jessica Tucker-Mohl.
  • Roberts’ 200-IM time has her sitting at #29 as of the most recent times.
  • Other top-finishes include the 100-yard backstroke (56.61) and the 100-yard fly (56.06), in which she currently ranks 67th and 64th, respectively, on
  • Roberts was part of a quartet that finished first in the 400-yard medley, clocking in at 3:48.70

Diver of the Week
Nicole Zahka, Jr., New Hampshire

Medway, Mass.

  • Posted scores of 247.2 (one-meter) and 250.4 (three-meter) for third and second place finishes, respectively
  • Earned a personal best in both the one and three meter dives.

Around the League

  • UMBC’s Talor Tadena won two individual events (100-free, 100-fly), and helped UMBC sweep the relays against George Washington.
  • Corinna Darelius earned her third career sweep with scores of 214.41 in the one-meter and 240.97 in the three-meter dives.
