UVM Beats Wagner; Albany, UMass Lowell Play Wed.

Albany (5-0) looks for best start in DI history on Wednesday as the Great Danes face Providence at 7 p.m. Albany moved up to No. 9 in the latest Mid-Major Top 25 and rank second in the country in field goal percentage at 52.1 entering the contest.
UMass Lowell (0-5) plays second-straight game vs. Top-25 team on back-to-back days at No. 10/10 Nebraska after losing at No. 19/23 Oklahoma State, 103-52, on Tuesday night. Jasmine McRoy and Shannon Samuels each had 14 points to lead the River Hawks.
Vermont (2-3) improved grabbed an 80-70 win on the road at Wagner. Freshman Kristina White led four players in double figures with 19 points, hitting 5-of-6 from 3-point range. Niki Taylor added her sixth career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. UVM led by as much as 17 in the second half and closed the game by hitting 8-of-12 from the free throw line in the final five minutes.
Hartford (1-4) lost its third-straight game, falling to Central Connecticut, 82-50. Freshman Alyssa Reaves led Hartford with 11 points in the second half. A freshman has led Hartford in scoring in four of the team's first five games. The Hawks are on the road for five-straight, beginning at the Miami Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday.
UMBC (1-5) used a late 9-1 run to cut the Towson lead to three points with 56 seconds left, but could not complete the comeback as the Tigers hit free thows late to beat the Retrievers, 64-57. Freshman Sara Tarbert once again led UMBC, nearly notching a triple-double with 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.
