Binghamton Wins Dartmouth Classic; 1 Game on NYE

2013 comes to a close on Tuesday with one America East team taking the court as Stony Brook travels to Seton Hall for a noon tip.

The Seawolves (8-3) are off to their best 11-game start in program Division I history at 8-3 and are in the midst of a four-game winning streak. Stony Brook last played on Dec. 22, taking a 70-51 win over Wagner. Leading scorer Sabre Proctor have reached double figures in seven consecutive games, and is averaging 18.7 points per game during that stretch.

Binghamton (3-10) earned its second-straight win to take home the title at the Dartmouth/Blue Sky Classic with a, 57-56, victory of La Salle. Sophomore guard Kandace Newry scored the game-winning basket with 19 seconds left, giving Binghamton its first in-season tournament win since 2003. Junior forward Sherae Swinson, who finished with 16 points and nine rebounds, was named the Most Outstanding Performer while sophomore forward Morgan Murphy was named to the all-tournament team.
