Two America East men's hoops teams ring in the new year with games on New Year's Eve, including Albany traveling to Pittsburgh in a game that will air on ESPN3. Binghamton is also in action at St. Joseph's.

The Great Danes (6-6) face the Panthers in their first action in a week at 1 p.m., while the Bearcats (3-9) fresh off a win over Bryant Saturday, battle the Hawks at 2 p.m.

On Monday, UMBC and Vermont posted wins while Maine and New Hampshire dropped contests.

The Retrievers (4-9) outscored Navy by 16 points in the second half en route to a 63-48 win. Freshman Rodney Elliott scored a career-high 21 points to lead the way.

The Catamounts (5-8) posted an 88-48 win over Lyndon State as Hector Harold paced four players in double figures with 18 points.

The Black Bears (2-10) fell to Chattanooga in the championship game of the Dr. Pepper Classic, 86-80, while the Wildcats (2-9) dropped a 72-64 decision at Towson.
