UMass Lowell Hosts Binghamton in 1st AE Home Game
UMass Lowell (0-11, 0-1) hosts its first America East women's basketball game on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. as the River Hawks welcome Binghamton (3-11, 0-1) at Costello Athletic Center.
UMass Lowell is playing its first game since a loss at Bryant on Dec. 20. The River Hawks lost their fist conference game of the year back on Dec. 1, 95-82, at Vermont. UMass Lowell has made its mark in its first season at Division I, setting numerous single game America East records offensively while ranking fourth at 63.8 points per game.
Binghamton dropped its conference-opener at UMBC on Saturday, 47-32. Prior to the loss to the Retrievers, Binghamton had won back-to-back games in the Dartmouth/Blue Sky Classic with Sherae Swinson earning tournament Most Outstanding Player honors.
New Hampshire (5-7, 0-0) hosts its non-conference finale on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against Yale. The Wildcats are coming off a win over another Ivy League opponent in Brown, 77-74, on Friday, Jan. 4. Freshman Kristen Anderson scored 30 points in the win, including nine in overtime, to become the first America East freshman since 2009 to eclipse the 30-point mark in a game.
