UNH, Albany Stay Unbeaten in Conference Play Saturday

After a full slate of America East women's basketball action on Saturday with four games, two teams reamin unbeaten in conference play, as both Albany and New Hampshire earned victories.

New Hampshire (9-7, 3-0) rallied back from an 18-point deficit to win at Hartford (4-13, 1-3) for the first time since 2003, 61-56. Corinne Coia led the Wildcats with 16 points and snagged five rebounds. Senior guard Kelsey Hogan, starting her 100th game of her collegiate career, chipped in 11 points and served a season-high seven assists.

Albany (14-3, 4-0) led Maine (9-9, 3-2) by just four at halftime but used a 21-2 run in the second half to earn an, 84-56, win over the Black Bears for the teams 27th-straight America East regular-season win. Sarah Royals netted a career-high and team-high 23 points for the Great Danes while Shereesha Richards registered her 11th double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Ashleigh Roberts led Maine with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

Freshman Kristina White and junior Niki Taylor combined to scored the final 14 points for Vermont (5-12, 2-2) as the Catamounts snapped a seven-game losing streak with a, 63-59, win over UMBC (2-15, 1-4). White and fellow freshman Kylie Butler led Vermont with 16 points apiece while UMBC freshman Taylor McCarley led all scorers with 18 points to go with eight rebounds.

With the game knotted at 52, Vermont put together a 7-0 run with just over a minute remaining that including four points from Taylor and a 3-pointer by White that sealed the victory.

Sabre Proctor continued her torrid scoring pace with a game-high 20 points as Stony Brook (12-15, 3-1) beat UMass Lowell (2-14, 1-4), 86-63. Trailing 14-10 following a Lindsey Doucette layup, the Seawolves went on a 14-0 run to build a 24-14 lead and never trailed again. Jasmine McRoy led the River Hawks with 14 points.
