Binghamton returns to the field where it captured the 2013 America East title as UMass Lowell wil host its home series at the University of Rhode Island. The series was moved with snow still covering LeLacheur Park, with weather also being the cause of moving the 2013 title game.

The River Hawks are off to the hottest start in the America East with a 6-2 record. Those victories include wins over Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Temple, Rider and URI. Danny Mendick leads the conference  with a .407 batting average while game two starter Mike Calzaetta has not allowed an earned run in three appearances.

With 13 games played, the Bearcats have been on the diamond more than any other America East team. Binghamton has played a challenging non-conference schedule, with the team earning wins over Duke, two against James Madison and one over VMI. Bill Bereszniewicz leads the team with a .340 batting average while the team's game one starter, Jack Rogalla is 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA entering conference play.
