The Tewaaraton Foundation has announced the second round of additions to the 2014 Tewaaraton Award Men’s and Women’s Watch Lists, presented by Panama Jack. The lists include the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the Tewaaraton Award.
"These players have been recognized for their outstanding play during the 2014 season,” said Jeff Harvey, Chairman of The Tewaaraton Foundation. "They have the attention of the top coaches and are added to the mix of those that will be considered for the game’s top award."
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are comprised of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
Three players from the America East are featured among the 58 women's lacrosse players on the Tewaaraton Watch List including Stony Brook's Frankie Caridi and Michelle Rubino and Albany's Allie Phelan, who was added in the second round of midseason additions.
Caridi is currently tops in the country in both goals against average (4.73) and save percentage (.571), helping Stony Brook to the No. 1 ranked defense in the country. Rubino is second on the Seawolves in points (48) and assists (19).
Phelan has scored 27 goals and tallied 30 points so far in 2014. The senior is also posting a season shot percentage of .509 and a shot on goal percentage of .830.

The five finalists for the men and women will be revealed on May 8, and those individuals will be invited to the presentation ceremony in the nation's capital on May 29.
