Iwaskiewicz Promoted, Stanko Hired As Part of Staff Changes

Release: 07/11/2014
America East Commissioner Amy Huchthausen announced today changes to the conference staff for the 2014-15 academic year, including the promotion of Erin Iwaskiewicz to Director of Video & Creative Services and the hiring of Jonathan Stanko as Communications Fellow.

"These moves strengten our staff and enable us to provide more services to our membership, particulary as they pertain to digital media and branding, both major focal points for the conference." said America East Commissioner Amy Huchthausen.

Iwaskiewicz started at America East in June of 2013 as Associate Director of Video & Creative Services and made a significant impact to the conference's operation in a short time. In her role, Iwaskiewicz serves as the conference's primary contact for all aspects of America East’s digital video and multimedia production, including producing and maintaining the conference's video inventory, helping develop and implement the conference's multimedia strategy and serving as the conference's in-house graphic designer. As part of her promotion, Iwaskiewicz will oversee all aspects of the conference's digital network, AmericaEast.TV.

Stanko is the conference's first Communications Fellow, a two-year appointment. He will serve as the conference's primary media relations contact for select sports, be a key contributor to the conference's commuications operation and assist with the conference’s video and creative services operations among other duties. Stanko comes to America East after graduating from Iona College in May. As a student at Iona, he worked in the Gaels' athletic communications office for four years.
