CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The first college action since June will begin Friday, August 22 as women's soccer teams throughout the country will take the field for the first time in 2014. All nine America East squads will open the season on Friday, including three on AmericaEast.TV. Here's the full schedule:
Friday, August 22
Vermont hosts the TD Bank Classic which will include fellow America East squad New Hampshire. The Wildcats will be the first team on the pitch at 1:30 pm against Youngstown State. The Catamounts are part of a slew of games at 4 pm against Centrall Connecticut State.
Hartford, picked 4th in the preseason poll, visits Bryant at 4 pm in a game that can be seen on NECFrontRow.com. The Hawks return reining America East Co-Midfielder of the Year, Stephanie Santos.
Maine makes the first appearance for any America East team in 2014-15 on AmericaEast.TV. All games are available live for FREE in HD and can be viewed on laptops, PCs and mobile devices without the use of an app. The contest begins at 4 p.m.
Two more AmericaEast.TV games begin at 7 pm with Binghamton hosting Temple and UMBC taking on Navy. The Retrievers are the preseason favorite and reigning champions.
Two other 7 p.m. games include Stony Brook visiting Rutgers and Albany taking on St. Mary's (CA).
