Heuser Named NFHCA Northeast Region Player of Year, 15 Tabbed All-Region
Albany’s Paula Heuser was named the Longstreth/NFHCA Northeast Region Player of the Year for the third-straight year on Wednesday. Additionally, Heuser and 15 others were named NFHCA All-Region selections.
Heuser, a senior midfielder, finished her career as the only student-athlete in America East history to be named a najor award winner all four years as she again earned Midfielder of the Year accolades.
Joining Heuser as first-team All-Northeast Region choices were teammates Frederike Helmke and Maxi Primus, Maine's Casey Crowley and Sydney Veljacic. The Great Danes' Jaclyn Hibbs eaded up the second-team Northeast Region choices along with Maine's Samantha Wagg, New Hampshire's Ashley Mendonca and Lindsey Nerbonne and Vermont's Lauren Tucker.
Caroline Beaudoin, Kelsey Bing and Fran Tew from Stanford were first-team All-West Region selections along with Pacific's Krieckie van Wyk while the Cardinals' Sarah Helgeson and Pacific's Savannah Burns were second-team choices.
