#AEFoodFrenzy Continues Making a Difference in AE Communities This Spring
BOSTON - After collecting and donating over 7,500 food items to local food pantries in the fall, America East member institutions will again participate in the #AEFoodFrenzy this spring with events slated to begin this week.
In its second year, the #AEFoodFrenzy is a conference-wide community service initiative designed to promote cohesion between America East’s member institutions while also providing significant donations to several charities in campus communities. The initiative is a competitive and collaborative food drive organized by the conference’s Student-Athlete-Advisory Committee (SAAC).
#AEFoodFrenzy events will take place April 7-15 at one athletic contest on each of the conference's nine campuses. In those designated games, the home team will donate one box of their collected goods to the away team to be donated to their charity of choice.
