Binghamton University’s Jeff Wolniewicz (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca) and University of Hartford’s Sadie Heald (New Haven, Conn./ Hopikns) are the America East Men’s and Women’s Golfers of the Week, respectively. The accolades were announced Tuesday (April 3).

Wolniewicz tied for 30th out of 105 golfers at the Lacrosse Homes Invitational hosted by Towson. He shot 77-74 (+7) to lead the Bearcats. Wolniewicz has a scoring average of 73.2, has five top-10 performances and a top-20 showing in seven tournaments this year.

Heald finished tied for third overall at the Monmouth Hawks Invitational on April 1-2 at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Lakewood, N.J. She shot a career-low round of 76 (10 shots better than her previous low) in the first round and followed it up with an 80 in the final round. She finished six shots behind the individual winner while helping the Hawks to a second-place team finish. The third-place individual finish was the best of her career.
