Warren Lane joined the America East Conference for the
2011-2012 school year as the Administrative Intern. Lane's primary job responsibilities are assisting
in the conference's National Letters of Intent program, aiding Championship administration,
maintaining relationships with sponsors and partners with the conference, developing
ideas and decisions for the Black History Month Project, and running the
America East SAAC meetings and events.
Before interning for the America East Conference, the
Brooklyn, N.Y. native interned for the University of Hartford Athletics'
Marketing Department. He developed and
executed in-game promotions for games, and helped write and call game scripts
during the basketball season. Also, Lane
interned for ARAMARK, the food distributor on the campus, through the year. As
an intern in the marketing department, Lane has been a student representative
and promoted special dinners, contests, and the popular Midnight Breakfast at
the school.
Lane graduated from league-member Hartford in May 2011, with
a bachelor's degree in marketing. While
at Hartford, Lane was a four-year member of the track and field team, serving
as captain his last two years. Lane also served as a student rep on the Athletics
Council Committee, the Hall of Fame Committee, and also served as Co-Chair of
SAAC. At the University of Hartford, he was
named to the Coca-Cola All-Senior Team and was also named the Men's Top Hawk for
the 2010-2011 school year. Lane, who was
named to the 2011 America East Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team,
wants to continue to his studies in marketing, emphasizing on sports
marketing.
Warren currently resides in Boston, Mass.
