BOSTON -- With a win over Maine on the final day of the regular season, Binghamton claims its first-ever America East regular-season title in baseball. The top-seeded Bearcats wil take on No. 4 Maine, a rematch of this past weekend’s action, to kick off the America East Championship on Thursday at 12:05 p.m. at Farmingdale State College in Farmingdale, N.Y. Stony Brook earns the second seed in the tournament and will serve as host to the four-team double-elimination tournament on May 24-27. The Seawolves will play No. 3 Albany in Thursday’s second game of the day at 7:35 p.m. The winner of the double-elimination America East Championship is awarded the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Binghamton and Albany are both in search of their first-ever conference crowns, while Maine (five titles) and Stony Brook (one title) are hoping to capture the league hardware once again. America East Baseball Championship Tickets are $6 for adults and $2 for students with ID and children under 14. Tickets are available day of game at the stadium.
