Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University junior centerfielder Travis Jankowski added another honor to his growing list of accolades on Monday as the American Baseball Coaches Association along with Rawlings named him their National Co-Player of the Year.

Already named a first team All-American by Baseball America, the ABCA and the NCBWA, Jankowski shared the honor with James Ramsey of Florida State.

Jankowski put together one of the best seasons in Stony Brook baseball history in 2012 as he led the Seawolves on a memorable run to the College World Series and an NCAA best and school record 52 wins.

The junior centerfielder led the nation in hits (110), triples (11) and runs scored (79) and also ranked eighth in the country in batting average (.414) and sixth in stolen bases (34).

Jankowski became the first player in program history to be take in the first round of the MLB Draft, when he was drafted 44th overall by the San Diego Padres earlier this month.
