Believe it or not, we are one week away from the conference tournament. With the regular season winding down this weekend and brackets being determined, champions will soon be crowned.

In last year’s 2011 America East Women’s Basketball Championship the Hartford Hawks captured the title after battling it out with Boston University.

Flash forward to present day and it’s Boston University pacing the pack sitting at 14-1 with Albany right behind them at 14-2. Several other teams lurk closely behind, including Hartford currently in third at
10-5.

Familiar faces continue to set strides this year as well as a fresh crop of young talent immediately impacting the conference.

With teams battling to gain the advantage, there has been no shortage of exciting plays. Only one week until the tournament so it’s time to take a look back at some of this season’s highlights.
