Pink Zone Header

 February 13-22, 2009

Join America East and the nine member schools in the fight against breast cancer Mat Kotsopoulosas part of the WBCA's annual
Pink Zone
Initiative. The WBCA Pink Zone initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, communities and beyond. Each America East school has chosen a date in or around the selected window of dates the WBCA has designated as Pink Zone Week and made a point to help the cause at that game. For each school's dates, please see the calendar below, or for the list of all 1,250+ schools and organizations participating, click here.

If you can not make it out to a Pink Zone game and would still like donate to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund, you can call 1-800-4JIMMYV or visit www.jimmyv.org. For more information on the WBCA Pink Zone and the history of the initiative, please visit the WBCA Pink Zone page.

Many of the schools will be giving out free t-shirts and ribbons, recognizing survivors and running other promotions in the spirit of the cause. To find out details of what your favorite team is planning, click on the highlighted games below in the calendar.
