3 #AETF Athletes Set For NCAA Indoor Championships

Three America East student-athletes will compete in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced Saturday.

The championships will be held March 10 and 11 in College Station, Texas.

A pair of women's student-athletes will make the trip down south including New Hampshire junior Elinor Purrier, who ran the second-fastest mile in the country this season at 4:29.44.

Albany senior Grace Claxton will run in the 400-meter dash. She enters the meet with a qualifying time of 52.64.

Albany junior Matthew Campbell is the lone representative from the conference on the men's side. After winning the high jump in this year's America East Indoor Championship, Campbell is seeded 15th at NCAAs with a mark of 2.20-meters.

ESPN3 will stream the meet live on March 10 starting at 6:25 p.m. Eastern Time and March 11 starting at 4:55 p.m. Eastern Time. A re-air of the championship will take place on Sunday, March 12 starting at 7 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPN2.
