Fans of the America East Championship will appreciate Binghamton’s convenient and central location in the heart of Upstate New York.

Binghamton University is located one mile west of the city of Binghamton and is a short drive from major urban centers in New York and neighboring states. A number of bus companies serve the area, and the Binghamton Regional Airport provides major airline service.

The University is 45 miles (about 1 hour) from Ithaca, 70 miles (about 1 1/2 hours) from Syracuse, 190 miles (about 3 hours) from Philadelphia, and 200 miles (about 3 hours) from New York City. Approximate driving time from Albany is 2 1/2 hours, 3 hours from Rochester, and 4 1/2 hours from Buffalo.

From Southern New England and Down State New York
Take the NYS Thruway (87) to Exit 16 (Harriman Exit) to Route 17 WEST (future 86). Continue on Route 17 WEST (future 86) to Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 and the SUNY signs to the traffic circle. Take first right off circle, crossing bridge to Route 434 EAST. The main entrance to campus is your first right. Upon entering campus, stay in the far right lane and the Events Center is located just past the West Gymnasium on the right hand side.

From Northern New England and the Albany-Oneonta, New York area
Take I-88 WEST to I-81 SOUTH to Route 17 WEST (future 86). Continue on Route 17 WEST (future 86) to Exit 70 SOUTH (Route 201). Follow Route 201 and the SUNY signs to the traffic circle. Take first right off circle, crossing bridge to Route 434 EAST. The main entrance to campus is your first right. The Greater Binghamton Airport
The Greater Binghamton Airport offers many modern amenities including a roomy departure lounge, a business conference center, an Internet-accessible resource room, efficient ticketing and baggage claim area, and a comfortable restaurant. Most recently, the airport has installed four new passenger boarding bridges that will allow simultaneous boarding service from each of the airlines offering service at BGM. These fully enclosed bridges will allow passengers to board aircraft without ever having to brave the weather elements outside. With improvements such as this, the Greater Binghamton Airport has further solidified itself as this region’s More Convenient Gateway to the World.

In addition, the Greater Binghamton Airport has international capabilities provided by an on-site United States Customs Office. Private, charter, corporate, freight, and commercial aircraft with international departures and destinations can receive customs clearances at the Greater Binghamton Airport.

By Bus
The Broome County Department of Public Transportation is an agency within Broome County Government and offers four services:
1) B.C. TRANSIT FIXED ROUTE (aka city buses) is available to the general public traveling in the urban core of Broome County. The system has 19 routes and operates 7 days a week, except major holidays. Weekday service begins at 5:20AM and ends at 12:15 PM. Saturday service begins at 5:35AM and ends 11PM. Sunday service begins at 10:20AM and ends 7:10PM. Fares are $1, and reduced fare is available for those over age 65 (with a Broome County Office for Aging Identification Card) and persons with disabilities (with B.C. Transit Handicap I.D). Binghamton University students ride free by showing their current valid student I.D. upon boarding. Frequent riders may purchase ride pass(es) or a bus pass(es). Reduced rates for bus passes are available for students, those over age 65, and persons with disabilities.

Greyhound, Capitol Trailways, Vermont Transit and Adirondack Trailways lines offer service from the terminal at 81 Chenango St., Binghamton.
